What Does My Retirement Look Like?

I can see it from now.

A building that could stand by itself. People come and go, but some would call it home. They come from anywhere; friends, locals, expats, tourists, students, freelancers, millenials, you call it. Socializing, working, even sleeping, with or without me.

Where would I be by then?

I would be in my camp, somewhere nice, across the river, lost in a good book, on different side of the world. Sometimes, I make a video call with people there. They ask me when will I come home. I tell them that my journey isn’t over yet.

When time comes, I will be there someday. A building that made with dreams. A home where the hopes, hearts, and friends are.

Amen.
